In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, actor Anthony Mackie disclosed that Kendrick Lamar has written a new song for the upcoming film, Captain America: Brave New World. Mackie – who portrays Sam “The Falcon” Wilson in the movie – revealed, “Kendrick did the title-song for my movie. Hope that’s not supposed to be a surprise!” Mackie went on to praise the Pulitzer Prize-winning rapper for “the beauty and mastery of his craft.” The release of Kendrick’s new song may coincide with the movie’s release date on February 14, marking his return to contributing music to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Lamar curated the 2018 Black Panther soundtrack, which included his two hit singles, “All the Stars” with SZA and “Pray for Me” with the Weeknd. “Brave New World” will be Lamar’s first solo release of 2025, following his celebrated Super Bowl halftime show performance and his five-Grammy haul for “Not Like Us.” (Rolling Stone)
