Sometimes our parents lie to us to protect us…and sometimes they lie to us so we don’t have to do whatever asinine thing we wanted to do as kids (like eat cotton candy at 8AM at Chuckie Cheese and WE WILL HAVE A FIT IF WE DON’T GET IT)…because it just makes life SO much easier.

And then sometimes they lie just to screw with us.
